Lieff Cabraser served as settlement class counsel in a nationwide consumer class action challenging Progressive Corporation’s private passenger automobile insurance sales practices.
Plaintiffs alleged that the Progressive Corporation wrongfully concealed from class members the availability of lower priced insurance for which they qualified. In 2002, the Court approved a settlement valued at approximately $450 million, which included both cash and equitable relief. The claims program, implemented upon a nationwide mail and publication notice program, was completed in 2003.

Since 2012, Mr. Gore has served as co-counsel on more than 500 consumer claims in which the plaintiffs alleged that packaged food companies falsely represented the ingredients in their products. More than 400 of these claims have resulted in financial settlements and label changes.

Pierce Gore Law Firm, PC was founded by Pierce Gore in 2002. Prior to starting his own firm, Mr. Gore was a partner at Lieff, Cabraser, Heimann & Bernstein in San Francisco. Over a 39-year career, Mr. Gore has investigated and worked on cases involving consumer fraud and dangerous products.
